MMH School Health Coordinators in training session

The Michigan Model for Health™ online training course has been revamped to include an updated elearning design and interaction with video teaching examples, demonstrations, and role playing applicable to both new and previously trained educators.

The goal of the training course is to give Pre-K through 12th grade teachers confidence in their ability to implement MMH’s skills-based health education instruction. 

The MMH online training course is designed as an interactive, self-paced training with a duration of 1 to 1.5 hours in length and contains the following components.

Curriculum implementation with teaching demonstration videos and role playing

Skills-based instruction with interactive teaching examples

The Model for Healthy Kids

The Michigan Model for HealthTM is a nationally recognized, research-based comprehensive and sequential Pre-K through 12th grade health education curriculum. The MMH curriculum aims to give school-aged children and youth the knowledge and skills needed to practice and maintain healthy behaviors and lifestyles. It provides age-appropriate lessons addressing the most serious health challenges facing school children and youth.
